The Blackbull Inn is a hidden gem! The pub downstairs serves hearty local fare that hits the spot after a long day. My en suite room was a dreamy escape—spacious and comfy, with stellar internet to keep me connected. Simply fab!

Even though I arrived drenched after a trek from Polmont train station, the banter about being 'drowned rats' was a laugh. Still, I could've used some heat in the room to chase off the chill my strange neighbor added to the night.

The restaurant's vegan options were both tasty and reasonably priced, making dining a delightful experience.

The noise from the pub karaoke carried into the room, disrupting sleep until late hours.

Unfortunately, the noise from the pub below was quite disruptive. Even on non-busy days, I found it challenging to get a good night's sleep. the bathrooms were in need of a deeper clean, which detracted slightly from the overall experience.

Those beds are seriously comfy, and I loved the fresh bath mats! Plus, being close to the Kelpies was a nice surprise. Smart TV in the room meant I could chill with some tunes after a long day.

Great match for overnight stay in Polmont with good price-value balance. Friendly staff asked about my dog and allowed us to stay. Remember to check parking options nearby as there isn't one directly at the inn.
